At the floor of Imo State House of Assembly IMHA Owerri, the Honourable member representing Owerri West State constituency and the back-to-back Majority Leader, Rt Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi has moved to second the motion seeking for a vote of confidence on His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma.
The motion was officially read before the floor of the Imo State House of Assembly at a plenary held on Tuesday. The hit point of the day was that twenty (20) serving Honourable House members including the Deputy minority leader , Hon Clinton Amadi co-sponsored the motion.
The Owerri Municipal House member t Clint’s Amadi stated that the Governor has done marvelously excellent in international connectivity of Imolites through ICT training of Imo youths to the developed countries across continents. He added that he has inspected the ongoing renovation project at Imo Concorde Hotel Owerri which stands to add as a living testament of the good works of Governor Hope Uzodinma in the state.
While briefing the House on Governor Hope Uzodinma’s numerous achievements and show of capacity in leadership , the Honorable members IMHA who were present at the sitting rose and moved a vote of confidence on the Governor while urging him to remain focused.
This motion came as a measure to correct false propaganda flying on the social media space that the Shared Prosperity Administration led by His Excellency Governor Hope Odidika Uzodinma CON is not working.
Against this backdrop , Owerri West member and the majority leader of the reeled out so many quantifiable and confirmable projects the Governor has embarked upon and working assiduously to finishing the project across the three senatorial zones of the state.
Majority Leader Onyemaechi hinted that the Ihiagwa bridge is near in completion alongside the Nekede -Ihiagwa-Obinze road that cut across Fedponek towards Naze -Aba Owerri road. He mentioned that of the Ekemele axis is now zoom zoom because of the effort of Governor Uzodinma who gave back to the people to connect to the state roads after several administration forgot them.
Another signature project which is ongoing as the Majority Leader IMHA and member representing Owerri West state constituency pointed out, was the Assumpta Overhead bridge still ongoing as embarked upon by the 3R shared prosperity administration ably led by His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma including the IICC which is near in completion.
After going through the administrative score cards of Governor Hope Uzodinma CON, in appreciation for his numerous achievements and show of capacity in the governance from 15th of January 2020, via 14th of January 2024, till date, the IMHA saw reasons to pass a vote of confidence on Gov Hope Uzodinma.
Honourable members also urged the Governor to remain focused in his continued quest to engender consolidated sustainable development in the State as 9News Nigeria reports.
The motion was chiefly sponsored by the Deputy Speaker and Member representing Nwangele State Constituency, Rt Honourable Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu and seconded by the Majority Leader IMHA and member representing Owerri West State Constituency, Rt Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi.
Meanwhile , twenty (20) Honourable Lawmakers of IMHA, including the Deputy Minority leader and member representing Owerri Municipal, Rt Hon Clinton Amadi (Alaomajijiji) co-sponsored this wonderful motion of vote of confidence on Governor Uzodinma’s administration in Imo state.

In the motion, Rt Honourable Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu further observed that the foresight of the Governor, who is the Head of the Executive Arm of Government, in providing conducive environment for the Judiciary and the Legislative Arms to function, have brought peace, progress and stability in governance, and by extension, made the work of State Legislators easy, as all the needed gadgets to work with have been provided.
Urging Governor Uzodinma to remain focused in his continued quest to engender consolidated sustainable development in the State, Rt Honourable Amara Iwuanyanwu noted that since the Governor is ever busy in achieving his goals, he should be supported to achieve them, so that the legacies of the 3-R Shared Prosperity Leadership will remain indelible.
Recall that Imo House of Assembly IMHA under the speakership of Rt Hon Chike Olemgbe has remained cordial with the back up of his co- members. Most importantly the combination of an enviable legislative flow of unity among the principal officers of IMHA.
Rt Hon Onyemaechi is a key personality in the stability of the IMHA and his good works cannot be overemphasized together with his support given to this motion.
