The People’s Democratic Party PDP Nekede ward in Owerri West local government area of Imo state has welcomed a former State House of Assembly member Hon. Victor Onyewuchi to the party.
This event took place at the time of this report by our correspondent in Owerri who witnessed the event.
9News Nigeria reports that Victor Ikonne Onyewuchi served under the Rochas Okorocha’s rescue mission administration during which he was the House member representing Owerri West.
Speaking at the event, Ikonne Onyewuchi expressed happiness for joining the PDP in Nekede ward. He further condemned the APC party for starving the society and making the economy worst than ever and finally burnt the symbol of the broom of which the APC party is known for.
While addressing the audience, Hon Onyeagocha advised party members to stay connected to the happenings in the state and the country at large.
He however told Ikonne to do more than he has done for the people while in the APC Rescue mission.
The ward PDP Chairman, Hon. Planner further ENJOINED the PDP Nekede ward to go grassroots to identify with party lovers in the area. The ward Chairman assured party members that come to the 2023 general elections, PDP Nekede will deliver having all it takes to make a sustainable political party in the country.
The people are saying that his defection to PDP is an addition to the party while APC party members in the area have assured of holding the grassroots and sweeping the polls in Owerri West anything and any day.
In attendance were Fmr SGI Hon. Barr. Uche Onyeagocha, Ward Chairman Hon. Planner, Chapter heads like Hon. Ifeanyichukwu Omeneji Emmanuel, Hon Udoka Uwaleke (ward secretary), Chief Chinonyerem Enerenwa (Odumukwu) and a good number of PDP members in Owerri West to numerous to mention.
