The Imo State Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Physical Planning, Hon. Noble A. Atulegwu (KSC), has on Tuesday, 11th May 2021 during a general meeting of the Ministry’s management and staff declared an end to any form of irregularities in the Imo State Ministry of Lands, Survey and Physical Planning.

In an address presented by Commissioner, Noble stated that he has come to change the ugly narrative that may have been the order in the past. He enjoined the management and the entire staff of the Ministry to cue into the new order of positivity and repositioning of the Ministry to serve the good purposes it was created for.

Our source told 9News NIGERIA that Hon. Atulegwu who was deployed to the Imo State Ministry of Lands, Survey and Physical Planning one month ago by Governor Hope Uzodimma, said that everyone in the Ministry must do only the right things and never attempt doing anything that will sabotage the good work he has come to do inline with the Governor’s 3R Mantra of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Recovery.

In his words, “I have not come here to steal lands or enrich myself with what belongs to our State, neither am I here to cut corners. I’m here to join hands with Governor Hope Uzodimma to make our State better. And every staff of this Ministry must follow this path henceforth”

The Commissioner who mentioned in his address to the staff of Imo State Ministry of Lands, Survey and Physical Planning that revenue from the Ministry has doubled after one month he was deployed to the Ministry said it was still below expectations, and nothing compared to what the Ministry can realize.

He charged all departments in the Ministry to maintain the standard in directing all payments to the Imo State Treasury Single Account (TSA) and warned that defaulters will be seriously punished in accordance with extant laws.
He advised them to stop aiding outsiders to perpetrate malpractices against the Ministry rather they should protect their workplace and its image in their dealings with the general public.

The Honourable Commissioner assured the staff of the Ministry of their protection against any unwarranted intimidation in the course of carrying out their duties to the State. He urged them to remain dedicated to their work and also contribute their ideas which will help in building a great Imo State.

Meanwhile, closed door deliberations were made, questions and answers session was conducted and the meeting ended with thanks to God Almighty while assuring that UZODIMMA WANTS THE BEST FROM THE MINISTRY.
