Sam Onwuemedo, the former CPS to ex governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has berated Imo government against the reference he made promising Imo people that Julius berger will take over the construction of Imo roads.

The governor of lmo state, Senator Hope Uzodinma had , on several occasions, announced that he was bringing Julius Berger to do the roads in lmo. The governor didn’t stop at the announcement to that effect. He went as far as bringing some “white “People and said that, they were Julius Berger personnel.

They took some photographs while on inspection to some of the roads to be constructed by the construction giant. To some of us who know the level Julius Berger has been operating, especially when it comes to road construction, were sceptical about the governor’s claim.

Reason being that, the resources of the state might not foot Julius Berger’s bills. But the governor’s media singers went to town with the message of Julius Berger doing lmo roads under Uzodinma. They had spoken as if the company had begun work. They never counted their teeth with their tongues.

Today, the issue of Julius Berger doing lmo roads has become “April- fool”. The more you look, the less you see.

In trying to please people, this government should be thorough, realistic and truthful. Nothing destroys a government than lies. WILL-POWER is the watchword.

And that was another area Okorocha made the difference. He never told lmo people lies even for a day. He was always telling lmo people the truth, not minding the attendant supports or criticisms that would follow. The truth is that Julius Berger’s personnel have gone back to where they came from, without justifying their coming in the first place. Like l said from the outset, nobody is expecting the government to engage Julius Berger because of the involvements, but the government should not be shooting itself in the foot for any reason.

My name is Sam Onwuemeodo.
