In appreciation and acknowledgement of the projects and programs of the Shared Prosperity administration of His Excellency the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma in the areas of affordable housing, the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) has partnered with Imo state government through the state housing co-operation to build 3bedroom flats across the 27LGAs in Imo.
This was made public to the press at a courtesy visit to the General Manager of Imo State Housing Co-operation (ISHC) by REDAN.
The visit which was led by the National Treasurer of the association, Arc. Frank Ajaero, was necessitated by the need to identify and partner with the government of Imo State in the housing projects across the State.
Meanwhile, the prominent interest to the association is their intention to construct 100 units of 3bedroom bungalow apartment per Local Government Area (LGA), a project to be embarked upon by REDAN in order to supplement for the housing deficit across the state.
The Association acknowledged the commitment of the Shared Prosperity administration in the area of housing schemes. Recall that His Excellency had previously promised on a 1000 housing scheme which would take off across the three major urban cities of the state.
In response, the GM, Barr. Chinedu Mbakwe-Obi expressed appreciation of the partnership move by the association with the government. He assured them of government’s continued commitment in providing affordable housing for Imolites. The GM called on them to continue to offer their professional input in this partnership for successful and sustainable programs.
These projects when completed would ease the pressure experienced by civil servants and Imolites in affording housing.
