Imo state Governor his Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma has sympathized with the families of those who lost their loved ones to stray bullet in the recent restiveness that saw security operatives engage none state actors in a gun duel.
Earlier in a statewide broadcast, Uzodinma commemorated this year’s democracy day and expressed sadness over lose of lives and properties destroyed in the course of restoring normalcy in the state.
He however frowned such losses that occured in the course of restoring normalcy in the lsnd.
The governor highly expressed sadness over such collateral damage in terms of loses of lives and destruction of properties.
“My heartfelt condolences go to the families of those who lost their loved ones and those whose properties were destroyed”.
Gov Hope Uzodimma however, appealed to everyone to shield their sword and work together with the government to bring lasting peace and moreso rebuild the state and it’s economy .
“I believe that as brothers and sisters from the same state, we can resolve our differences amicably without resort to violence. Imo State has been known as the bastion of hospitality and peace, we should collectively come together to rebuild our state and rebuild it’s economy,” Gov Hope Uzodimma stated .
He promised the state a safety and good Governance throughout his tenure as GOVERNOR.
