Governor hope Uzodinma has assured the people of Imo state of his readiness to stamp down criminals and their sponsors and very READY TO GO AFTER THOSE THAT WANTS TO MAKE IMO STATE UNGOVERNABLE.
This statement was made by the governor while few moments ago while he was addressing the state in his broadcast.
The governor pointed out that the menace of insecurity which rocked Imo state in the last two months, which saw to the loss of lives and properties of imo people is now a thing of the past as the state is now peaceful as it used to be.
Meanwhile, while Imo state is enjoying the peace which came to be through the pragmatic leadership of Gov. Hope Uzodimma and the selfless sacrifices of our security agencies in which some of them lost their lives, Uzodinma Insists that it is never justice to these men and women if the Government allow the individuals behind the sponsorship of these unknown gunmen to go free and unpunished.
He however frowned at the situation unknown gunmen has thrown the state into the situation of terror through disgruntled persons who out of their greed amassed through the state treasury and public properties and refused to return them despite several indictments by the panels of inquiries especially that of the abuses and sales of land in the state.
Gov. Hope Uzodimma no doubt was eager to release and implement the white paper and restore back the Owerri master plan but the provocateurs decided to launch their series of attacks just to distract the state government which thankfully was but for a while.
Now, the stage is set for Gov. Hope Uzodimma not just to implement the white paper to the latter but has declared that it is time to go after those who think the can make imo state ungovernable.
He added that by no means this is a witch-hunt or personal vendetta but a clear justice to those that we lost during the imbroglio and to Imolites as a whole.
The people of the state have expressed happiness for this gesture of the governor to fight Insecurity HEADON and according to them, this shows that the governor is a man of courage and cannot be cowed for any reason.
“The riot act has been read to the enemies of the state as their identities have been revealed in a preliminary investigation and very soon justice will prevail.
This will sound as a warning to all those that may have some plans of causing violence in the state to desist from it as Gov. Hope Uzodimma is ever ready to give them a run for their violence and has shown readiness to defeat them in every manner to bring back the peace of Imo state, our source revealed.
