Imo state Governor, His Excellency Hope Uzodimma has felicitated with the muslim faithful in the state on the celebration of feast of sacrifice.
The governor however prayed for peace and unity amongst Hausa and the Yoruba Muslims in the State.
9News Nigeria correspondent in Owerri reports that governor Uzodinma was ably represented by the SSG, Chief Cosmos Iwu and many Government dignitaries to add colour to the event.
SSG IWU while addressing the press, stated that Imo State is a peaceful state and her people are loving and receptive.
He had earlier commended and urged the Muslim community for more peaceful coexistence in the State.
Chief Cosmos Iwu on behalf of the Governor, made some presentations to the Muslims for their Salah celebration.
In appreciation of the Governor’s kind gesture, Saraki Hauwaza, commended him for his good works on carrying every tribe and religion in the State along, stating that “Governor Uzodimma is the Governor for all”.
He further stated that the blessings of the Sallah has been extended to the Government and the State.
The Chief of Staff, Chief Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie, SSG, Chief Cosmos Iwu and Government functionaries too numerous to mention were in attendance.
