Imo LG Elections: APC Loses Chairmanship Aspirant

The All Progressives Congress APC party has lost one of its best feature in the upcoming chairmanship election in a particular state Nigeria.

The ugly incident took place Friday morning at about 2:30am when the news of his death broke out in the area with mixed feelings and sad mood.

9News Nigeria reports that prior to the upcoming LG primary election, the Chairmanship aspirant lost his life mysteriously few minutes after he slumped in his residence.

The incident happened within a space of an hour the aspirant arrived his House from a meeting SIT-OUT within his aboriginal community.

There are speculations that he was either poisoned, attacked spiritually or as a result of yet- to- be ascertained health challenges that resulted to his sudden slump and death few minutes he arrived to his house from a SIT-OUT.

Investigation reveals that , Chief Victor Osuji AKA (BABAUKWU) passed on few minutes he slumped inside his house located at Basic Bus stop in Umuoma Nekede.

Late Victor Osuji was rushed to a nearby Hospital in Okwu extension within the Umuoma Nekede Community within few minutes he slumped to resuscitate his consciousness but at arrival, the resident Doctor put some checks on him and confirmed him dead at arrival.

His death has brought cold feets in the community and in extension his local government area and Imo state at large where the late Babaukwu has established certain degrees of kind heartedness, love for humanity and involvement in community development and Imo politics.

BABAUKWU was a jolly good fellow, business experts and politician before his was struck by the cold hands of death. His death raised a lot of apprehension and doubt in the Ochie clan and Owerri West.

Speaking with the press, some Youths of the area expressed shock and are still seriously in mourning mood at press time together with the APC family in Owerri West because of the sudden demise of APC party faithful Hon Victor Osuji.

Recall that the expression of aspiration for both the councillorship and the chairmanship contest was not an easy ride coupled with the humongous amount of 1m and N3 million Naira monetary involvements.

An APC source told 9News that Chief EBUBUDIKE Victor Osuji paid had earlier paid the three million naira accrued for the chairmanship form and did all the necessary consultations and accreditation and suddenly did not live to see the date and process of Imo LG election which he had aspired for.

The sudden mirage that surrounds the Umuoma Nekede people and the Owerri West APC call for sober reflection on the shocking death of BABAUKWU while waiting for the family to make official announcement of his burial schedule.

Meanwhile some arrests have been made by the police divisional headquarters Umuoma Nekede to investigate and interrogate some persons identified to have spent his last minutes with in the area before his sudden death occured.

The Traditional ruler of Umuoma Nekede autonomous Community, HRH Eze Morrison Eke Ph.D has called for calm while investigation concerning his death continues. The Monarch further expressed sadness over the sudden loose of such an illustrious Young son of the community mostly at the time his services are needed.

However, his death has left a sore taste in the minds of the people in the area alongside business associates, political associates, immediate family and friends. Our correspondents will be bringing to us more details of his burial arrangements.

Political associates, business friends and customers , community leaders, the Youths, Women groups and the church have expressed sadness over Babaukwu’s death as 9News Nigeria reports.

Chief Victor Osuji was the Director of BABAUKWU Electronics Ltd and the popular infinity lounge and bar in Imo. He political journey started in Orlu where he spent most of his business life.
