Imo Monarch, His Royal Highness, Eze Sir Felix Iwe Njoku the Ogaraku 11, of Logara Autonomous community , Ngor-Okpala Imo state has celebrated his 20th coronation anniversary even as the monarch has called on the Imolites to embrace peace and unity especially as the country is gearing up for the polls, insisting that no nation or state can progress without peace and unity.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Logara , Ngor-Okpala Imo state, Eze Njoku noted that what has kept his community going was his insistence on love and tolerance to one another adding that the level of progress witnessed in his Kingdom would have eluded them had they continued in the way they were before his assumption of office twenty years ago.

The 93 years old monarch and a trained civil engineer used the opportunity to express his heartfelt love for God who according to him has kept him in good health and in sound mind even as he expressed gratitude to his cabinet members and the Logara Autonomous community for their support and encouragement.

Earlier in his opening remarks, Nze Charles Nkwocha has eulogized Eze Njoku whom he said stopped all litigations in the community on assumption of office.

His words, “let me state here, that before his assumption of office as the Eze, Logara Autonomous community was having about 18 different court cases, but with his pragmatic approach to dispute resolution, all those cases were amicably resolved, that it is hard today, to hear that our people are quarrel or having court cases.

“Our Eze has really done well in maintaining peace and order” he noted.

Speaking,on behalf of ndi Eze Ngor-Okpala, His Royal Highness, Eze Anthony Ekwe Nwaeze 1 of Ezemba, Autonomous community said that Eze Felix Njoku has done well. 

He noted that it was not easy to be on the throne for twenty years praising him for bringing peace, unity and progress in the autonomous community.

‘Eze Njoku has done well. Despite his age he attends our meetings, pays his dues and in fact he is in a sound mind.”

He then praised God for keeping him healthy but however enjoined his people to always be supportive.

“Eze is now old, I want his ndi Nze, chiefs and cabinet members to rally round him and make sure he succeeds the more”, adding that the entire ndi Eze Ngor-Okpala were very much happy with Eze Njoku and prayed God to give him more fruitful years and in good health on the throne even as he lauded his children for taking good care of the monarch.

To Okenze 11, Logara Autonomous community Chief Ifeanyi Osuji,it was a memorable day in the lives of the Logara Autonomous community to celebrate a man he described as a role model and a trailblazer who has accomplished so much in his lifetime. 

According to him, the Logara Autonomous community has witnessed love, unity, progress and more especially security.

“I don’t stay in this country, but with the level of cooperation, unity of purpose and unwavering commitment to progress, prosperity and security, I have been coming here regularly.”  

He encouraged every member of the community to continue to support the Eze.

“Those things that the Eze is doing to ensure unity and progress should be supported and sustained” Okenze Osuji emphasized.

Speaking on behalf of the Njoku’s family Prince Leonard Njoku, the eldest son of Eze Njoku said he was happy with the level of acceptance of the community to the monarch while thanking God for the good health granted to him.

He noted that the Eze’s family was very happy to receive everybody who has come from far and near to grace the occasion. He wished them well even as he called for more support and encouragement for the Eze. 

Contributing, the President General of Logara Autonomous community Chief Barrister Martins Opare assured his continued support for the Eze while saying that all hands should be on deck to 

ensure that the dreams and aspirations of the entire community were achieved by rallying around the Eze whom he described as an achiever.

Opara insisted that for the last twenty years that Eze Njoku is on the throne, it has been a source of commendation for the community which underscored the level of achievements so far recorded.

He however called for more cooperation adding that Eze Njoku is truly a God sent.

The event which started with a Mass Celebration at St Patrick’s Catholic church Logara Ngor-Okpala witnessed the gathering of the Clergy including Rev. Fr . Dr. Anthony Njoku, former Imo state University Chaplin, Ndi Eze Ngor-Okpala, Ndi Nze, chiefs, captains of industries, friends and well-wishers among others.
