Roads: Imo Government has commenced the reconstruction of Etekwuru Egbema-Adapalm-Obosima road and the failed section of the Umuagwo and Umuapu – Port Harcourt roads.

The construction is targetted at putting smiles on the faces of the people of the Oil producing Community to enjoy good roads brought to the area by Uzodinma’s administration.

Speaking to the press, Governor Hope Uzodinma said that the commencement of the reconstruction of Etekwuru Egbema-Adapalm-Obosima road and the failed section of the Umuagwo and Umuapu – Port Harcourt roads will open up easy access to and fro the state for economic development.

The road projects which are being executed through the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC), will ameliorate the challenges experienced by the community populace and road users.

In response, the Managing Director of Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC), Chief Charles Orie, expressed optimism that the hardships experienced by the indigenes and commuters in the area will be a thing of the past.

He added that motorists and commuters and the people of the area can at the end of this road Projects embarked upon by the Uzodinma’s led administration have something to point at as dividends of democracy in their area.

Imolites therefore expressed their appreciation to Governor Hope Uzodinma for his good works and especially with the huge infrastructural developments across the state.

The people are saying that the roads be completed since the governor has remembered the area after several attempts to put the road in good order have failed.

Meanwhile, the positive impacts on the socio- economic well-being of the people is a pointer the road construction will bring when completed.

Imo works Commissioner, has assured the people of the area the readiness of the government of Hope Uzodinma to change the narrative and better the state while making more investments on roads across the state.

The road when completed will no doubt open up businesses across the oil Communities and also add to the income value of the state internally generated revenue.

Our correspodent spoke with some users of these roads behind the camera who told us that , the project a welcome development since it is a very important link road connecting Etekwuru to Egbema towards Adapalm, Obosima via Avu Owerri town.

They however pleaded with the construction company handling the road and other roads in Imo state to be serious with such projects for the betterment of Imo state.

Governor Uzodinma cannot be on project sites inspecting and chasing the construction companies about, rather the ministry of works, Works Commissioner and their allies have to be on site to facilitate the numerous road Projects embarked upon by the government.
