Today Sunday the 17th day of January 2021 9News sighted few equipments parked along nekede/poly/Ihiagwa road from the demolished round about about to start work.
This news sounds as an SOS by the generality of Ndi Imo to the state government to repair the roads.The bad condition of Imo roads is becoming a worry to the the entire state pending the effort of government to put the roads in good order.
Information revealed to 9News Nigeria in owerri has it that the contractors handling the said Nekede/Ihiagwa road are ready to battle the state headon as the matter has gone to the court of law.
Few months ago it was allover the air waves that the road will take its new look immediately the dry season sets in but to the greatest surprise of the people that till date no single work is done while the raining season is close by.
However, this particular road is housing FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY OWERRI and FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC NEKEDE OWERRI and many other government establishments sited in this area.
Recall that the state government is asking for a payback of 4b naira state fund paid to the contractors handling this road and the matter is in court.
It is as if there will be no work done on this particular road and others involved in such a cliam until the money is refunded. But the people are pleading on government to help commence work on Imo roads to help ease the truama bad roads are causing the users.
An anonymous told 9news that the bad condition of Imo roads has affected the lateness of resumption of work at the civil service and other parastatals in the state.
Little wonder why government has remained insensitive to the plights of its populace and has become hearthardened against the wishes of the people.

At Just the first rain of the year, Naze/Poly/Nekede/Ihiagwa road users are crying tough to Imo state government to rush to their rescue as promised.
It is truly a difficult situation posed on the people while the government has continued to play politics.
Record has it that the judgement of the competent court of law surpasses the emotional feelings of men and therefore it is as if Imo people are asking how it could have been to the state if the former governor Emeka Ihedioha was allowed to continue.
Though governor Hope Uzodinma is the governor of Imo state and ndi Imo are looking up to him to do good work to salvage the state and improve the people more than the former governors.
The compilation of these bad roads is ongoing to evaluate how wonderful the government is.
