Few hours ago governor Hope Uzodinma commissioned the commencement of work at Nekede/Ihiagwa road and charged the contractor handling the work to speed up actions to finish the work. 9news Nigeria was live on the scene to witness the event as the governor was represented by the house of assembly member representing owerri west Hon. Onyemaechi.
The member representing the good people of owerri -west state constituency in house of assembly and chairman, house committee on lands and survey, Hon. Chief Kanayo Onyemaechi (Dele) has applauded Gov. Hope Uzodinma for flagging off the construction of 14KM Nekede /Ihiagwa /Obinze road today.
The lawmaker maintained that the governor has no doubt demonstrated his uncommon love for the good people of owerri -west.
In an interview with newsmen shortly after the flag off, “Egbe eji eje ogu 1 of owerri -west ” stated that owerri -west has every reason to rejoice now that construction of the road has commenced.
According to the legislator who has shown legislative competence and capacity, he can now go to bed and sleep well knowing that the sufferings of his people has been lifted.
As a man who has shown enormous love towards the development of his LGA and beyond, Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi (Egbe) kept on piling pressure on the state government to ensure work commences on the road irrespective of the criticism and today, his efforts has been justified.
He finally thanked ndi owerri -west for their patience and urged them to continue supporting the present administration that has their interest at heart as he reassured of his resolve to keep rendering effective representation.
YES,THERE WAS A FLAGOFF But What the people particularly the users of this road need is for governor UZODINMA to emplore his new contractors to do a solid work to its finishing and not just to do a political flagoff. Meanwhile the capacity state house member for ow west, HON.ONYEMAECHI Is not resting to move this project to a realistic finishing. We thank Imo government for remembering NEKEDE/POLY/IHIAGWA/OBINZE 14KM ROAD Governor UZODINMA’S Tenure.
