Princess Christina Eligwe-Ude, the Special Adviser to Imo state government on Sustainable development goals and Humanitarian services, has lauded Governor Hope Uzodimma for commissioning a new general hospital in Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta Local Government Area.
The hospital, which was fully paid for from the 13% derivation allocation, was built in partnership with a local church to ensure proper staffing and it’s management.
Ude, who expressed her happiness over the development thanked God for giving Imo state a governor like Senator Hope Uzodimma, who according to her , has written his name in gold.
She further advised the people in the area, to do everything in their power to protect and manage the hospital very well while pleading with them, to vote for the governor at the November 11 Guber election in the state because he’ll do much more for the community.
Recalled, on Thursday 7th of September, 2023 In a step towards improving Healthcare infrastructure in the oil-producing region, the Imo State Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma commissioned a general hospital in Umuokanne, Ohaji-Egbema LGA.
Governor Uzodimma during this special event disclosed that, the hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and will provide quality healthcare services to the people of the region. The commissioning of the hospital has been met with jubilation from the people of Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta LGA, of Imo state.
In his welcome address, the Chairman of the Board of ISOPADEC, HRH Eze Professor Dele Amuzienwa Odigbo disclosed that building the new hospital was intended to provide affordable healthcare facilities for both preventive and curative medical services to the host communities.
