Frontline politician and Imo State statesman, Chief Longers Anyanwu (Ebubedike Obowo) has commended the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, GSSI,for what he described as a well-deserved honour bestowed on the late statesman and former governor, Samuel Mbakwe (Dee Sam).
Anyanwu who praised the governor for his wisdom in instituting a Hall of Honour to celebrate patriots who served the state meritoriously, described the recognition of Dee Sam as a fitting tribute to a sage whose contributions to Imo State remain valuable.
Speaking on behalf of the good people of Obowo, the Ebubedike expressed deep gratitude to Governor Uzodimma for consistently extolling the remarkable achievements of Dee Sam and for crowning him with the highest honour in the state, which he described as an unparalleled show of benevolence and respect.
He further applauded the governor’s statesmanship and sense of fairness in extending similar honours to past leaders of the state, irrespective of party affiliation or political differences.
According to Anyanwu, Governor Uzodimma has once again demonstrated rare leadership qualities, vision, and commitment to unity, adding that his actions reaffirm his resolve to make Imo State greater than ever.
