The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued Certificates of Return to winners of the bye-elections held on June 20, 2026 across Nasarawa, Ondo, Rivers, Enugu and Kano States.
The certificates were presented on behalf of the INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan, SAN, by Supervising National Commissioner for Rivers State, Mrs. May Agbamuche-Mbu.
In her remarks, Mrs. Agbamuche-Mbu congratulated the winners and urged them to serve their constituents diligently, saying the most important responsibility is to represent the people rightly.
She noted that the Certificates of Return would also be presented to the winners in Kebbi State for the Zuru State Constituency election and in Ekiti State for the Governorship election.
National Commissioners representing the various constituencies took turns presenting the certificates to the elected candidates, officially recognising them as the duly returned winners of their respective elections.
