The National Coordinator of Freedom Network Group, Comrade Lukman Olukayode Ahmed, has congratulated Nigerian Youths on this year International Youth Day.
Comrade Lukman O. Ahmed charges Nigerian Youths to equipped themselves with necessary skill acquisition and shun any act that may be inimical to the progress and development of Nigeria.
“Today, I join the rest of the World to mark the International Youth Day, a day set aside by the Global Community to focus attention on the opportunities, achievements, and challenges faced by the vibrant population of the human community.
“I acknowledge the remarkable contribution of the Kwara State Government under the leadership of Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on laudable and program on Youth empowerment in the State and promotion of good governance and as well the security of lives and property of the good people of Kwara State.
“The young Women and Men who continue to lay down their lives and sacrifice their comfort as they serve in our Police and Armed Forces deserve special appreciation on an occasion as this.
The services of our Youths in the creative industry, Sports, and ICT who continue to attract great honor to Nigeria in the Community of Nations are also worthy of applause.
“As we celebrate this years International Youths Day, I wish to admonish that Government at all levels redouble efforts at job creation and human capital development as the only panacea to most of the ills adversely affected the growth of our dear Country.
“I also encourage our Youths to embrace appropriate skills acquisition, such as shun drug abuse ,engaged in more volunteering and positive engage with their counterparts across social, tribal and religious divides in order to build a cohesive , greater Nigeria.
“While celebrating our accomplishments as Youths, we must not shy away from reminding ourselves that there is still so much ground to be covered and so much more work to be done to guarantee prosperity for the greater number of our people and restored our dear Country, Nigeria to the path of honor, peace and progress.
