The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has sacked Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State following some mix up in his election results that declared him Governor.
A three-man panel of judges led by Justice Oluyemi Akintan Osadebay had sacked Yusuf on September 20, 2023, by declaring 165,663 of his votes invalid because they were not signed or stamped by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Recall that the matter went to court wherein his election victory was annulled. But it is likely, Abba will pursue his matter to the tribunal or betterstill supreme court for final judgement. The case may likely upturn at the next stage of judgement.
