On the evening hours of Monday at about 9pm, the horrifying incident occurred. A resident lynched by mob believed to be commercial motorcycle drivers in Jos after pursued from Tudun Wada a suburb town in Jos North Local Government Area to Domkat Bali Road claiming he was a criminal. The victim suspected to have been cruelly beaten to de@th by some mob by some commercial motorcyclists popularly known as ‘Okada riders’ whose operation in Jos and Bukuru metropolis is restricted. Body of the victim was taken to Plateau Specialists Hospital, Jos, where he was confirmed de@th by the medical doctor due to injuries as a result of stoning and hot chase by the mob. According to an eye witness “The victim was tragically misidentified as a thief during the hot pursue, when he was caught, enraged mob pelt upon him with stones and inficting brutak beatings which led to his de@th. However, 9 News Nigeria gathered that the victim was driving near Tundun Wada park (a popular motor park in the suburb city of Jos) and had a collision with a motorcycle rider which triggered the chased. Moment later the victim was caught at Domkat Bali Way within Jos South Local Government Area and was mercilessly beaten to de@d within the confines of his vehilcle. Disturbing images from the incident depict the remnants of stones and widen objects found in the vehicle he had drove, which presumed to be the weapons used during the tragic incident.
