An Army Corporal identified as Abayomi Ebun, has crushed to death the Director of Finance of the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre, Brigadier General A. O. James, with his car within the the barracks.
The accident occurred at the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre Old Barracks in Lagos State.
Ebun, who works at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, knocked down the NAFRC Finance Director, while driving out of the Barracks.
Immediately after the incident, the senior officer was immediately taken to NAFRC Medical Center, where Doctors confirmed him dead.
Reports say General James was walking to his house within the Barracks when the Corporal’s car hit him from behind.
A source within the NAFRC Barracks said Ebun who was driving recklessly was drunk at the time of the incident
Ebun has long been arrested and detained for further investigations
