The Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded Kogi State governorship election, Senator Dino Melaye has blatantly rejected the result announced by INEC.
Taking to his official X (Twitter) timeline, Senator Dino Melaye alleged that the result announced by the INEC was a ‘cooked result’ and could not be accepted. Dino also alleged that a manipulated result showed that the Okene Local Government area alone wrote 138,416 votes for the APC party.
“Okene LG alone wrote 138,416 for APC. This cooked result can’t be accepted. Total Cancellation is the Answer”
9News Nigeria reports that the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the November 11, 2023 governorship election, Dino Melaye, lost his local government to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Melaye, who is from the Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, polled 6,909 votes in the local government while Usman Ododo of the APC scored 10,524 votes.
Melaye had earlier cried out to journalists over what he described as massive rigging of the election.
