The Senate of the University of Uyo at its 122nd meeting has approved the conversion of the Department of Communication Arts into the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies.
The newly created faculty manned by Prof Peter Esuh will have seven departments of Communication Arts and Media Studies to include:
- Journalism
- Public Relations
- Advertising and Marketing Communications
- Broadcasting
- Film and Multimedia Studies
- Information and Media Studies
- Strategic and Corporate Communication
