Defection Friday hit’s the All Progressive Congress (APC) and other political parties in Lessel,Ushongo,Benue state.
His Excellency the Executive Governor of Benue State,Chief Dr.Samuel Ortom, assisted by the Ex-Governor of the state, Sen.Gabriel Suswam received the decampees led by Dr.Akoso Aganyi.
Mr Silas,asked the governor for forgiveness stressing that,PDP was the right platform for the Benue people.He also said that, the APC led government had failed the entire people of Ushongo.
The governor on receiving them gave the decampees an assurance of equal opportunity in the PDP.
Senator Suswam in a remark, said that he and the governor are building a strong foundation for the youths to leverage on in terms of leadership.
He stated that the people of Usbongo have no reason to remain in APC as the benefits they enjoyed while in PDP were too numerous to be forgotten in a hurry.
State Chairman of the PDP, Sir John Ngbede attributed the massive defections into the PDP to the enabling environment provided by Governor Ortom, even as he assured them of equal opportunities in the party.
