JUSTICE FESTUS NTONG RECEIVES ROYAL BLESSINGS IN HISTORIC SOLIDARITY VISIT

In a landmark show of solidarity and cultural reverence, no fewer than 76 village and clan heads from Etim Ekpo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State converged on (Iwukem) on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, to pay homage to one of their most illustrious sons, Hon. Justice Festus Ntong, JCA.

The delegation, made up of respected custodians of tradition, visited the Justice at his residence to offer prayers, royal blessings, and words of encouragement following his recent elevation to the Court of Appeal. The moment, steeped in symbolism and pride, was described as unprecedented and spiritually momentous, a defining endorsement of a man whose legal career has been anchored on truth, justice, fairness, and equity.

The traditional rulers, adorned in their regal attire, spoke glowingly of Justice Ntong’s unwavering commitment to the ideals of justice and integrity. They hailed his elevation as not just a personal achievement, but a collective honour to the Etim Ekpo people and the entire Annang Nation.

“This is a son in whom we are well pleased,” one of the royal fathers declared. “His rise in the temple of justice is a victory for fairness and the common man.”

Justice Ntong, visibly moved by the outpouring of love and support, expressed gratitude to the royal fathers for their visit and prayers, reaffirming his commitment to uphold the law with fearlessness and impartiality.

Earlier in the day, Hon. Justice Ntong had paid a courtesy visit to the Paramount Ruler of Etim Ekpo LGA, His Royal Majesty Professor Amanam Udoh.
During the royal visit, His Royal Majesty Prof. Udoh, poured encomiums on Hon. Justice Festus Ntong for his unwavering commitment to truth and justice, values he noted have not only benefited the people of Akwa Ibom State but have resonated across the nation’s judicial landscape. The revered monarch, speaking with deep conviction, described Justice Ntong as a beacon of integrity whose rise within the judiciary serves as a testament to his principled and disciplined character. He prayed for God’s continued guidance upon the learned Justice, asking the Almighty to endow him with greater wisdom, knowledge, and discernment to remain focused, fearless, and upright in the discharge of his duties.
These profound royal blessings left a deep cultural imprint, further affirming the judge’s deep-rooted respect for tradition and his people.

Indeed, the day etched a new chapter in the annals of Etim Ekpo history, a moment when royalty bowed in honour of merit, and tradition embraced excellence in the most dignified fashion.
