The director-general explained that the ambitious toilet projects were aimed at eradicating open defecation in Kaduna State by 2030, in line with national objectives, adding that they were monumental investments, unparalleled in the state’s history.

Ladan said that the residents can significantly improve public health outcomes by reducing the prevalence of waterborne diseases and promoting good hygiene practices.

He added that significant progress had already been recorded, with 10 out of the 23 local government areas in Kaduna State achieving open defecation-free status.
