Kaduna SWAN Mourns Demise of Former Sports Commissioner

The Kaduna State chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has expressed deep shock over the sudden demise of former Commissioner of Youth and Sports, Kaduna State, Hon. Abdulazeez Mohammed Adebayo.

A statement signed by its Secretary, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson and issued to newsmen in Kaduna on Monday, SWAN said the late former commissioner would be greatly missed.

“We are saddened and deeply mourn former Kaduna State Commissioner of Youth and Sports and GM of defunct Ranchers Bees, Honourable Abdulazeez Muhammad Adebayo who passed away on Saturday November 21, 2020 after a brief illness. The demise is tragic and a huge loss to the sports family, not only in Kaduna State, but the entire country,” the statement read.

The statement added, “We are however, consoled that his legacies and achievements while he was alive would be forever engraved not just in our hearts, but recorded by the history books. SWAN therefore, console the Kaduna State Government, Ministry of Sports Development, his immediate friends and family as well as all sports lovers. May Allah forgive his shortcomings grant him Aljannah Firdaus,”.
