A group of traders in Kaduna State staged a protest to commemorate the demolition of markets and businesses carried out during the administration of former Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.

The demostration took place in front of Mallam Sheikh Abubakar Muhammed Gumi Market and was attended by over 15,000 traders.

During the protest, the traders urged the public to reject any future political ambitions of former governor, vowing not to support his return to politics.

The traders who were angered by what they described as illegal demolition, expressed full confidence in the leadership of the current governor, Senator Uba Sani, describing his administration as beneficial to the business community.

The traders unanimously declared their support for Uba Sani’s re-election, chanting slogans in favour of a second term for the governor.

Speakers at the event commented the efforts of Mallam Abdulrahman Muhammad, a leader among Kaduna traders, for his dedication and commitment to protecting the interest of traders in the state.
