Kano State Police Command has arrested 269 suspects in connection with violence, destruction, and looting during the Thursday’s nationwide protest.

The suspects, who exploited the protest as a cover for the criminal activities, were found with stolen goods, including groundnut oil, stationeries, and food stuffs.

Kano State Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Dogo Garba, warned that violence, looting, and spreading fake news will not be tolerated.

He urged residents to obey the 24-hour curfew imposed by the State Government and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
