The Kogi State Government has vowed to prosecute a 40-year-old man, Elisha Daniel, accused of raping a three-year-old girl.
The act, described as barbaric by officials, has sparked outrage, with authorities emphasizing that such behaviour cannot be tolerated in society.
Addressing newsmen in Lokoja, Kogi State capital on Thursday, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr Kingsley Fanwo, reaffirms the government’s commitment to ensuring justice and reveals that Governor Ododo has directed State officials to collaborate closely with the Nigerian Police Force to expedite the suspect’s prosecution.
