Kogi to probe examination malpractice in 2024 WASSCE

The Kogi State Ministry of Education has inaugurated an Examination Misconduct, Investigation, and Disciplinary Committee to probe the involvement of schools and individuals in the conduct of the 2024 West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination within the state.

The Committee is tasked with Investigating the extent of involvement of schools and persons as well as recommending appropriate punishments for those found guilty, inline with the provisions of the Kogi State Education Law and Other Matters Connected Therewith, 2020.

The Committee, under the chairmanship of the Permanent Secretary of the Education Ministry, Dr. Jibrin Alhaji has one week to submit its report.

Other members include representatives from Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Education, Kogi State Secondary Education Commission, State Universal Basic Education Board, West African Examination Council, and others.
