Former Kogi governors Captain Idris Wada and Alhaji Ibrahim Idris have endorsed Senator Dino Melaye as the state’s next governor.

Senator Melaye is contesting to be the state’s governor under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Captain Wada and Alhaji Idris stated that Senator Melaye embodies the transformative leadership that Kogi State desperately needs.
They contend that a leader with a proven track record of converting challenges into opportunities, like Senator Melaye, can only overcome the state’s current stagnation.
According to them, Senator Melaye is the catalyst for harnessing these resources to drive economic growth and development, ultimately lifting Kogi out of its current state of inertia.
They expressed confidence that he possesses the vision and determination to propel the state forward.
Melaye, 49, represented Kogi West senatorial district from 2015 to 2019 and was the chairman of the FCT Senate committee.
