Dr. Sa’id Alkali Kori, the Technical Advisor of Lake Chad Basin Governors Forum, has attended a meeting of the forum, marking his first official engagement in the organization and on international duty.
Kori, also the CEO and chairman of Thinklab Limited Group, was appointed last week by the forum’s chairman and Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni.
As a successful artitech and entrepreneur, Dr. Kori is expected to bring his wealth of experience and contacts to enhance investments, job creation, human capital development and other economic and leadership developments to the region.
Held on Wednesday, the working meeting took place at the Nigerian Embassy in Chad, with the executive secretariat of the Lake Chad Basin Commission.

The meeting was also Governor Buni’s first official meeting as chairman of the forum.
Buni was nominated and selected chairman of the forum in January this year, at the organization’s summit, which took place in Borno State capital, Maiduguri.
Others in were Ambassador Maman Nuhu, the Executive Secretary of the Commission, Mrs. Amina Kogwana, the Representative General to the Government of N’Djamena Municipality and Abdulkadir Ibrahim, the Acting Staff.
The meeting is part of ongoing efforts to enhance regional cooperation and implement strategic decisions made during the Maiduguri session.
The resurgence of Boko-Haram terrorists’ activities in Borno State and other parts of the basin and flood related issues are also expected to be among key talking points in the meeting.
Discussions also focused on expanding opportunities for regional diplomacy, strengthening support through international forums, and mobilizing resources to sustain peacebuilding and stability efforts in areas of the Lake Chad Basin affected by conflict and security challenges.
