Labour, PDP, APC Presents Guber Candidates In Imo

In what seems to be a show of shame that bedevilled the Labour Party LP Imo state after their Guber primary election was conducted over the weekend has produced three parallel candidates.

It is yet unclear to the party followership in the state to identify who the actual Guber candidate is at the time of this report by 9News Nigeria Owerri.

Coincidentally, Three Labour Party LP governorship candidates emerged from the primaries held in Imo State over the weekend.

Source revealed that Senator Athan Achuonu is of Julius Abure faction while that of Basil Maduka is of FBI Faction and Ikechukwu Ukaegbu emerged from Lamidi Faction of same labour Party in the state.

Speaking with an INEC official who did not want his name to be mentioned, told our correspodent that Athan Achonu pulled the highest votes and was decleared winner.

But that the other parallel aspirants are parading themselves as winners that emerged from unknown sources.

However LP governorship candidate Athan Achonu is to slug it out with the likes of Samuel Anyanwu, Hope Uzodinma and the yet-to-be pronounced APGA candidate in the November election.

Meanwhile, 9News Nigeria gathered that the All Progressives Congress APC candidate, Senator Hope Uzodinma, the People’s Democratic Party PDP candidate, Senator Nnaemeka Samuel Anyanwu and that of Labour Party LP candidate Senator Athan Achonu are Ranking Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

They know how to play their games and get what they want while representing their constituents from the three Political blocs of the state. All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA is yet to filled in their Governorship flag bearer at the time of this report by 9News Nigeria.

Incumbent Hope Uzodinma represents orlu zone. Athan Achonu represents Okigwe zone while that of Samdaddy Anyanwu represents Owerri zone in the November Governorship election as 9News Nigeria reports.

Imo Governorship election will come up on November 11-2023 unless otherwise shifted in due course by INEC.

At press time other parallel groups in Imo labour party are advocating for Chief Dr. Chibututu isiguzo who they said is the candidate for Labour Party come 11th November 2023 guber Election In Imo State.

November Governorship election in Imo state will be an interesting one having the incumbent as the Lord of the game. There are indications that Governor Hope Uzodinma will sweep the polls while waiting to see his running mate to balance the equation.
