A Social Media user, Vivian Matur also identified as “Notice Me Lady” has been reportedly been arrested for allegedly making a defamatory statements against the Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Dewan Kudangbena Gabriel.
Matur’s anger is believed to stem from the ongoing controversy surrounding the zoning of the Speakership.
She reportedly vowed to bring the Speaker to his knees and promised to present evidence supporting her accusations against him. In response to the rising issue, Rt. Hon. Dewan Kudangbena Gabriel via his Facebook post stated:
“Criticism and defamation are two different things Those with integrity understand the importance of safeguarding their name and must do everything to protect their hard-earned reputation”
According to reports, Miss Matur has overtime been in the forefront in speaking against the Speaker, and has been cautioned by the Speaker against ill utterances.
Authorities have taken her into custody in due course for further interrogation, and will be arraigned in court after investigation to substantiate her allegations against the Plateau Speaker.
