Members of the Lagos4Lagos Movement led by Olajide Adeniran have defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Lagos4Lagos Movement is a group within the APC in Lagos State. Its leader, Olajide Adeniran, who contested for the chance to represent the APC in the 2019 governorship election, has on several occasions publicly proclaimed that his goal is to change the status quo.
Recall that in the last party congress which took place in September 2021, Adediran’s faction held parallel Local Government Congresses at different locations in the state. Although, the congresses were not recognised by the Mai Mala Buni led Caretaker Committee.
The defectors were welcomed by Senator Bukola Saraki, former Senate President and Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Reconciliation Committee on Saturday.
