Lagos Launches Newly Renovated Primary Health Center In Agege

The Lagos State Health District 1, inaugurated a newly renovated Primary Health Centre in Agege.

Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District 1, Dr Funmilayo Bankole, applauded the Lagos State Government for investing on primary health care across the state, urging the residents of Agege to make use of the new renovated facility.

Bankole also appreciated other major stakeholders present at the commissioning, who played major roles in the renovation and face lift given to the health centre.

She said; “The Iloro Primary Health Care Center is well equipped and safe for pregnant women to deliver their babies and other health related issues,” she said.

” I am delighted to be part of this event and I also want to urge members of the Agege Community to visit the centre often, especially on issues relating to maternal and child health care, “she added.

Meanwhile, the Medical Officer of the Health Centre, in Agege Local Government Area, Dr Olufunmilayo Ayegbusi, said it was a laudable development in the area, and a plus to the health care infrastructure development in the communities.

Ayegbusi also used the opportunity to urge the community members to prioritise their health conditions and ensure they got to check up from time to time.

9News Nigeria reports that the Supervisory Councillor for Health, Agege Local Government Council, Mr Gbolahan Owolabi-Dada, represented the chairman of the council at the event, as major stakeholders and community members attended the inauguration.
