Lagos state governor Babajide Sanwo Olu has on Sunday issued a New Guideline as the state enters the next phase of the gradual easing of Covid-19 lockdown.
While speaking to reporters on Sunday, Governor Sanwo Olu said that the new guidelines would hasten and guarantee the safety of residents and contain the spread of the virus.
Sanwo Olu also added that a register will be opened to ensure inspection of businesses and compliance with physical distancing rules before the lockdown can be lifted totally.
The governor called on Lagosians to give special considerations for the elderly. He also explained that he has been holding series of meetings with leaders of religious organisations in the state on the best ways to ensure the safety of everyone ahead of the total lifting of the lockdown.
