Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Plateau State and Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District, Senator Simon Bako Lalong has expressed deep shock over the gruesome murder of the Plateau State APC Publicity Secretary, Mr Sylvanus Namang.
He was killed by yet- -to-be identified gunmen in Pankshin local government council after arriving from Mangu where he had attended a funeral event.
Lalong in a statement issued in Jos by his media aide, Dr Makut Simon Machan said he was devastated by the news of the barbaric killing of the APC spokesperson who was an accomplished journslist, politician and commuinity leader.
Lalong who was the former Governor of Plateau State and Minister of Labour and Employment described the act as unfortunate and condemnable, urging the security agencies to swing into action and ensure that the killers of Mr Namang are fishes out and brought to justice.
Lalong said although it is too early to conclude on motives behind the assassination of the Plateau APC spokesperson, his death is certainly a big loss to his immediate family and the APC in the state and nation at large.
