Former Federal Lawmaker, Sen. Lee Maeba, has said that the National Chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu, will not resign his position as demanded by Gov. Wike’s camp.
There are reports that Wike’s camp demanded the resignation of Ayu amongst other things during a meeting with the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar, in London. The meeting was geared towards resolving the crises rocking the party.
Maeba, who took a swipe at Gov. Wike and his men, said anybody that wants the party to win the election would be demanding a convention at this time. “Who wants the party to win the election and be demanding for a convention at this time, in the middle of the election?
Maybe who is an ally of Atiku Abubakar is currently having a running battle with Gov. Wike for allegedly holding meetings with enemies of the state.
In an interview Session, Senator Lee, berated Gov. Wike; accusing him of threatening to collapse the party if he loses the presidential primary.
