Ron Kenoly, the celebrated American Christian worship leader, singer, and song writer, has passed away at the age of 81 on February 3, 2026.

“Thank you for inspiring generations of Psalmists like me. “I grew up on these songs. And today, others are growing up on ours.
“Thank you sir”.
Kenoly was widely known for his influential work in contemporary worship and gospel music, leading praise and gatherings around the world and penning songs that resonated with millions of believers.
Born on December 6, 1944 in Coffeyville, Kansas, Kenoly’s career spanned decades – from leading worship movement with dynamic live praise album – Lift Him Up , Jesus Is Alive, Majesty, Righteousness, Peace & Joy, Anointing, All Honour, Sing Out, among others.

He mentored many Christian worship leaders through his ministry and academy of praise. Kenoly ‘s music became foundational in many churches globally, distinguished by a vibrant style of praise, powerful vocal, and a mission to create an atmosphere for the presence of God.
His energetic leadership and heartfelt songs made him one of most recognized praise and worship artists of his generation.
At the time of his passing, no official cause of his death has been publicly confirmed.
Kenoly’s legacy lives through his recordings and the countless worship leaders and believers he inspired around the world.
