Veteran journalist, Reuben Abati and the Arise News Morning Show crew publicly challenged the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to appear on the programme for an interview.
Speaking during the broadcast Today, Abati questioned the minister’s willingness to engage in a direct, unscripted conversation.
According to him, Wike lacks the confidence to face the panel in the studio.
“He doesn’t have the confidence to come to this studio.
“Let him come, he will sweat, even with the AC. In this studio, we will make him sweat. Let him come here.” Abati said.
The remarks, delivered in a characteristically blunt tone, followed ongoing public debates surrounding the FCT administration and Wike’s recent political statements and actions.
