LG poll: Plateau Govt declares Thursday as public holiday

The Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has approved the extension of the public holiday for the ongoing local government election to Thursday, 10th October 2024.

A statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Samuel Jatau said the extension of the public holiday to Thursday is to enable those who travelled to return.

It reads; “The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has approved that Thursday 10th October 2024 be declared as a public holiday to enable citizens who travelled for Local Government elections return back.

“The Executive Governor further thanks the citizens for their peaceful conduct during the exercise”.
