Lionel Messi Rules Out Future as a Football Manager After Retirement

Global football icon Lionel Messi has revealed he does not see himself stepping into a managerial role when he retires from the sport.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner, known for his dazzling career with Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and now Inter Miami, recently stated, “I’m not planning to become a manager when I retire. This is not something I’m considering to do.”

Messi’s admission adds him to the list of football legends who have opted out of management after retirement, instead focusing on other pursuits.

According to Messi, coaching does not appeal to him personally – a statement that has surprised some fans who envisioned him taking on a mentoring role for the next generation.

While he is still actively playing, Messi’s career is widely considered one of the most accomplished in the sport’s history. His decision to step away from management contrasts with other former players who transitioned to the lead teams of play, such as Zinedine Zidane, Pep Guardiola, and Xavi.
