A 60-year-old Malaysian man has been arrested and charged with raping a neighbour’s goat to death in Hulu Selangor district, Selangor Malaysia.
According to the report seen by 9News Nigeria Malaysian correspondent, the man has been remanded for 7 days for allegedly having unnatural sex with a female goat that led to its death.
The remand order was granted by the assistant registrar Muhammad Azru Muhammad Sabri at the Kuala Kubaru magistrate court on Thursday. The case is being investigated under section 373 of the penal code for unnatural sex with an animal and section 289 of the same code for negligence with respect to animals.
It was reported that the goat owner heard the animal bleating strangely at about 1:30 pm on Tuesday, 27th July 2021. Upon checking out what was wrong with the goat, she found the suspect half-naked and in a compromising position with the female goat. The man then pulled up his pants and fled the scene.
The owner checked her goat and discovered that it was already dead. She then launched a police report and the suspect was apprehended the following day.
While addressing the press, Hulu Selangor OCPD, Supt Arsad Kamaruddin said that a woman who discovered the incident had seen the man standing with his pants down and in a compromising position with a female goat at about 1.30 pm on Tuesday, July 27th 2021
“According to the account of the witness, she heard the goat bleating strangely behind her home and when she went to check, she discovered a half-naked man beside the goat. The suspect fled the scene,” he said on Wednesday (July 28th).
“But when the woman checked the goat, she discovered that it was already dead,” Supt Arsad added.
Supt Arsad Kamaruddin also said that the goat was sent to the Kuala Kubu Baru Veterinary Services Department for a post-mortem to support charges against the suspect. He said the suspect was apprehended following reports at Jalan Tengah in Kampung Sungai Buaya Serendah at about 10.50 am on Wednesday.
“He has a past criminal record. He will be taken to the Kuala Kubu Baru Sessions Court for the remand process,” he said.
“The case is being investigated under Section 377 of the Penal Code for unnatural sex with an animal and Section 289 of the same Code for negligence with respect to animals,” he said.
