Man Caught With 80 Nigerian Army Uniforms Faces Arraignment

A 42-year-old man, Christian Obi, Friday appeared before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly being in unlawful possession of 80 pieces of already sewn army camouflage uniforms.

Obi pleaded not guilty.

Police prosecutor, Insp. Doney Raphel, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on July 5, on Olojo Drive, Ojo.

He alleged that the defendant failed to give a satisfactory answer on how he came about the uniforms.

The offence contravenes Section 330(d) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015,the prosecutor said..

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs O.G. Oghre admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties each in like sum.

She, then adjourned the case until August 24 for mention.
