A young man identified as Fuseini Sayibu Baba, better known as Citizen Shaibu Promzy has died suddenly after announcing his wedding date on Facebook, Topnaija reports.
Citizen Shaibu Promzy, from Tamale, the Northern regional capital in Ghana was ready to walk down the aisle with Ibrahim Latifa known among her friends as Queen.
He took to Facebook on February 14, 2021, Valentine’s Day, to announce his wedding.
He had written; ”All families and friends are welcome to my wedding, next week, on February 21, 2021. Thank you.”
The islamic wedding was set to be held simultaneously at Vittin and Lamasehgu respectively both suburbs of the Tamale Metropolis on Saturday, February 21, 2021.
But shortly after, news reached his Facebook friends that he had died hours after the publication which has left several of his colleagues distraught.
Details of the cause of death still remain sketchy but he is set to be buried in accordance with the Islamic custom while calls have been made for the would-be bride to undergo some psychological counseling.
Until his death, Shaibu Promzy had his secondary education at Vittin Senior High Technical school.
He later went on the train as a nurse at Damongo Nurses Training College.
He worked with the Ghana Health Services before his death.
