In what would be a thrilling nostalgic atmosphere, the sits at Old Trafford will once again feel the roar of enemy engagement, and the rising heat from the clashes of boots. Tonight, for the first time this season, the Red Devils of Manchester United host the Gunners of Arsenal in a highly anticipated football duel.
After a rather shaky start to the season, both teams will be yearning for all three points, especially to prove a point as potential title contenders. For Ole Gunnar Solksjaer and his United side, they are sitting on 11th position in the league table, having won just one out of their five league games – with disappointing defeats to Crystal Palace and West Ham. With the absence of key players like Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, Solksjaer would be forced to start teenager Mason Greenwood in attack.
Midfielder, Paul Pogba is also a doubt for the crucial game tonight after he sustained another unexpected knock to his ankle in Manchester United’s Carabao Cup game in midweek.
On the other hand, Arsenal will welcome Kieran Tierney back from injury for his first Premier League match with the club. Although Alexandre Lacazette is still out with a long-term injury, Bukayo Saka has so far been impressive and is expected to start for the Gunners tonight. With Arsenal coming into the match from a good run of form, Coach Unai Emery will be hoping his side can come out with a victory at Old Trafford, a feat that has eluded the team for 13 years.
No matter the outcome of the game tonight, football supporters around the world will surely be thrilled to one of the fiercest battles in English football.
