Real Madrid left-back, Marcelo has reacted to the club’s trashing of Barcelona without their star forward, Neymar in the Spanish Super Cup on Sunday.
Real Madrid won the game 3-1 with goal from Gerard Pique (own goal), Cristiano Ronaldo and Marco Asensio while Messi scored from the spot for the home side after Real Madrid’s keeper was adjudged to have fowled Luis Saures.
Asking if Neymar’s €222 million move to Paris Saint Germain has affected the Catalan giants, the Brazilian left back told reporters, “I don’t think Barcelona is a worse side without Neymar.
“Barcelona are always going to be Barcelona; a great team.
“They have won all titles. Of course, Neymar is a great player, but Barcelona is still Barcelona.”
