A free match-making foundation, aimed at finding partners for potential husbands and wives has been launched in Accra.

The Kings and Queens Colour Dating Foundation has been set up purposely to help resolve the cry of young adults that they are unable to find suitable partners for marriage.

Speaking at the launch, the founder of the foundation, Mrs Fatimah Amoadu said her foundation would provide services at no cost to patrons.

This is because the foundation recognises the benefits of marriage within religious and cultural contexts.

Among the benefits patrons would get includes provision of legal avenues for couples to fulfil and satisfy sexual desires, establish tenancy for family relationships and inheritance as well as provide physical security, financial and health benefits.

Mrs Amoadu decried the increasing rate of divorces and delinquent children who were often outcomes of broken homes.

Divorce, she said, had more negative consequences on the family and society as a whole thereby necessitating the move by the foundation to create a platform for singles to establish healthy relationships leading to marriage.

The vision, she said, was to purposefully unite singles in marriage and also provide the necessary tools to help them build healthy family lifestyles.

“We demonstrate a high sense of teamwork to put smiles on the faces of our clients and treat them with respect as expected. We demonstrate a strong level of commitment and maintain a high sense of confidentiality with a strict need-to-know policy,” she assured.

Over the past three years, the foundation has been involved in a number of activities which include outreaches for Junior High Schools (JHSs) on reproductive health, providing resource persons on radio and television programmes on marital issues, and arranging dates and providing counselling services for clients.

Mrs Amoadu was optimistic that in the coming years, singles would have easy access to meet others within their dating circles and that information on reproductive health and family life would be easily accessible by all.
