In the quest to rid the Joint Operation Area (JOA) of illicit drugs and substances, which often drives violent activities, troops of 3 Division/Joint Task Force Operation ENDURING PEACE (JTF OPEP) raided the hideout of suspected criminal elements at Layin Sabon Kasuwa in Mangue Local Government Area of a Plateau State.

During the operation, suspected drug peddlers in possession of various substance suspected to be Cannabis Sativa and other illicit drug substances.

The arrested suspects and recorded items are in custody and would be handed over to the relevant agencies for possible prosecution in due course.

A statement signed by Major Samson Zhakom Media Information Officer Operation Enduring Peace read that troops of 3 Division/JTF-OPEP will continue to address identified crimes that drives violent activities in JOA, just as Communal partners with relevant agencies of government to tackle these social vices and prosecute offenders to achieve a sane society.
